Biography

My name is Mark and I'm a self-taught pianist, composer, performer, and producer of improvisational solo piano for tv, film, video games, soundtracks and content - including YouTube history channels with millions of views.

This happy little bio explains how we got here:

I'm a proud American who was actually born in England. After learning chess at the tender age of six, I won several senior open tournaments playing against bewildered adults. But, along the path from child prodigy to Candidate Master I discovered that, when it comes to excitement and sexiness, chess is firmly on a par with basket weaving. So my focus switched to football (I still refuse to call it soccer).

I soon developed a reputation as a prolific goalscorer, wore silly shorts and had professional tryouts. It was much more exciting. Unfortunately, it all ended prematurely due to injury and I was forced to seek other short-wearing opportunities. So, I moved to Florida, worked as a fitness trainer and went to college. I also had a lot of surgery.

While laid up in bed I taught myself piano in 3 weeks, by noodling on a keyboard, and soon began improvising my own piano solos. People seemed to love them so I released an album and started doing weddings and hotel gigs. After landing a regular spot at Arthur’s 27 in the Buena Vista Palace, I became a full time composer, performer and recording artist. This allowed me to share my original piano solos six nights a week with audiences from all walks of life. The highlight was when Michelle Pfeiffer sat next to me during a performance. I have not bathed since.

After more than 1000 live performances over three years, my frequent bouts of autistic burnout became unmanageable. Oh, I should probably mention that I'm 2e ASD-1. This sounds like a droid from Star Wars but is basically the exact same thing as Elon Musk. Sadly, in my case it comes with far less aptitude for making money.

Anyway, I took a long break from music and obtained a real estate license which they didn't let me laminate (I'm not kidding, it's apparently illegal). A series of wonderful opportunities landed in my lap so I moved to New York City, then moved back to Florida, then back to New York City, then back to Florida. The general consensus is that I did this just for the going away parties. I also did comedy in New York, which went about as well as you would expect.

In 2023, I literally ran out of other things to do and thus had no choice but to go back to being a full-time musician. I subsequently licensed my entire collection across all forms of media. One of the history channels featuring my music garnered 20 million views alone - I'm as shocked as you.

I previously appeared in Jam Magazine and Lifestyle, but nowadays avoid publicity like the plague. I did make a rare appearance as a featured special guest on One World Music Radio when two of my singles Spellbound and Rubicon both entered the top 40 in 2025. But I prefer a reclusive, solitary existence. Most people are thankful.

Outside of music, I have lifted weights all of my life and still train like a maniac 5 days a week. It's the only time I see 3-dimensional people. I also love to box and shoot. An autistic with weaponry is quite the sobering thought. But, I have excellent trigger discipline and my ammo is lined up beautifully.

As a polymath, I'm an avid reader covering a wide variety of completely unrelated and mostly pointless subjects. My current obsession is Quantum mechanics and simulation theory. I have been building on the work of Thomas Campbell, Rizwan Virk and Nick Bostrom in an effort to disprove Einstein and craft my own Simulation Hypothesis. This is also going about as well as you would expect.

Anyway, that's the story so far... Oh wait. Over the years I've coached football at High School, College and Semi-pro levels. But, one can only experience so many soccer mum's.

If you like classical contemporary or new age piano, and wish to show support, please buy my albums. If you do not like piano music, buy my albums anyway. It will help feed the cats.

No pressure though, if you don't buy my music the cats will still eat ... probably each other.

Either way thank you for your support.
